*Original source had most of the between track crowd cut out I applied crossfades to smooth these cuts. Patched D/O in Eyes. Original source was also in need of retracking.

Subject: Good clean fun
Solid well played 1983 show. Second set takes to the next level with Phil leading the way.
Overlooked and underplayed show,
Give her a whirl, you'll love it.

Subject: Citizens of Boise
Fabulous fun. Without a doubt the most fun show on the tour, maybe because no one expected much. From Phil's Citizens of Boise proclamation prior to the Wang Dang Doole opener to the Baby Blue encore it was clear the boys came to blow the roof off the BSU pavillion. After 3 days of standing in the rain while the Eugene locals were at the Hult shows the Dead rewarded us with one hot show. I don't think the locals had a clue what had whirled into town until we'd all packed up and beat it on down the line to Park City. I never saw a copy of the Boise paper but yes, a patrol car was plastered with dead stickers when the cops got out to patrol the lot on foot. What were they thinking? Sure Red Rocks was good this tour and the shows at the Downs were magical, but this was the gem of the tour, played in the gem state no less. My hats off to whomever has made this available. I've long since played through the cassettes I've had.

a GREAT show....however: the .shn version available for dl seems to be better quality to me. Of course, if you're slick enough to capture the stream, that is the best....not as "warm" but definitely more clear.

Subject: Great night in Boise!
This show was one of the best of the year. The breakout of Wang Dang Doodle was very nice, and the whole first set rocked on very nicely. The second set however was just epic!! Phil was totally on the whole set, jamming and dropping bombs throughout. The prophet >eyes is astounding with one of the best Eyes I ever saw. Not A lot of folks have this show, The sound on this aud recording is very nice, I would recommend it to anyone who would like to have a great show that few people seem to have..

The next day there was a picture in the local rag of a cop car that was left unattended for a few minutes outside of the show, and it was covered in Grateful Dead Bumper stickers.
